About Me

My love of photography began when I won my first “black box” camera in a paper route sales contest at the age of 12. From there I progressed to 35mm slides and film, learned to use a darkroom during my formal training at OSU, and finally made the leap to digital in early 2002.
For many years, most of my images were of family and vacations. Then, while flying for Delta Air Lines, my photographic interests naturally evolved to travel and airplanes.
While all of those things are still a part of my core interests, I am currently mostly involved in photographing things that get me outdoors – landscapes, wildlife, etc.
At this point in my “career”, my photographic style is probably best described by the word eclectic since my subject matter tends to be very diverse. In the past, I’ve generally been an opportunistic photographer, shooting whatever happened to look interesting whenever I had a camera in my hands. Now, I hope to give my work some direction by focusing on various projects that involve either similar subject matter or technique.
I was a “Canon guy” for many years, shooting the D30, 10D, 20D, 5D, and 1D MKIII in succession over several years. Then about a year ago, I switched to the Nikon D700. I love it!
So, here I intend to show and talk about life and the world as I see it through my viewfinder.
More information is available on my Google Profile.
I am also a Realtor®, working mostly in Castle Rock, Colorado, and the surrounding area. If you need to do a home search anywhere in the Denver Metropolitan area, be sure and take a look at my website:
